Remembering Resistance: Why This Forgotten Franchise Deserves a Comeback

While franchises like God of War and Uncharted have soared through the years, others like Resistance have quietly slipped into the background. But for many PlayStation fans, the Resistance trilogy on the PS3 was a defining part of that 슬롯사이트 era — a gritty, alternate-history sci-fi shooter packed with atmosphere, tension, and innovation. And honestly? It’s high time this franchise made a comeback.

Set in an alternate 1950s, Resistance: Fall of Man introduced players to a world invaded by a terrifying alien race known as the Chimera. The story was grim, grounded in war-torn landscapes and desperate resistance (no pun intended). What set it apart, though, was its arsenal — weapons like the Auger, which could shoot through walls, or the Bullseye, with its lock-on tagging system, gave combat a unique edge that felt ahead of its time.

Resistance 2 expanded the scale dramatically, introducing massive boss battles, online co-op campaigns, and a sense of global conflict. Then Resistance 3 brought it all back to a more intimate, human story, often overlooked but considered by many to be the best of the trilogy. It leaned harder into survival horror tones and showed real emotional stakes, something that many shooters still struggle with today.

On PSP, Resistance: Retribution gave fans a third-person spinoff that actually worked — and even connected with the PS3 versions for cross-features. It was another example of how well the franchise adapted to different platforms without losing its identity.

With modern hardware and a hunger for rich, narrative-driven shooters, now would be the perfect time for Resistance to rise again. It had the lore, the gameplay mechanics, and the style — all it needs now is a second chance.
